The Story of BHF
Dr. Blessing was already providing rental assistance, food supplies, etc. to low-income families in her community in the State of Georgia. However, in 2019 she visited her hometown of
Nigeria for the first time in 10 years. That visit opened her eyes to some of the health and education disparities that existed in the village where she was raised. Once she returned to the United States, she adopted an Elementary school in the village that only had about 19 students.
She began providing weekly meals, uniforms, shoes, and other school supplies to the students, and assistance to the teachers. The school has now grown to about 80 children and is adding more each day, the number of teachers has also increased from 6 to about 10 teachers as of today. The work continued until 2022 when Blessing’s Heart Foundation (BHF) was officially
registered as a Non-Profit organization that provides free health care, and education support, to rural communities in Nigeria, and free food pantries to families in the State of Georgia with
hopes of improving the lives of children and their families.
